National Center for Deepwater Offshore Technology Experiments in Shanghai
National Center for Deepwater Offshore Technology Experiments in Shanghai is the sole center on Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering under National Science & Technology Infrastructure(NSTI). The center has a deepwater offshore basin with wave-generating system, underwater PIV, optical six-degree-of-freedom movement measuring apparatus, SESAM software, centralized data collection & control system, and vortex induced vibration experimental equipment, etc.
The center is open for all kinds of experiments about deepwater researches and development. It is running under the management committee, the technical committee and the customer committee. It has 12 full-time faculty and staff members now.
