On Aug.17th, SJTU organized the 2014 international School of Ocean and Civil Engineering,mechanics. More than 160 college students from the world participate in.

The  summer school invited 14 scholars from both at home and abroad. They were professors Seoul national university in South Korea, Bureau veritas in France, Yokohama national university and Kyushu university in Japan, Zhejiang university and SJTU in China. Scholars had presented 17 excellent lectures to summer school students around the research fields of their own.

At the same time,the summer school offered good opportunities to students for them to visit state key laboratory of ocean engineering, Waigaoqiao shipyard, China Maritime Museum,etc.
