On July 24, the inaugural meeting of the Alumni Association of the Institute of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University（NAOCE） and the "Story of Time" alumni concert was held in Mulan Shipbuilding Building.

As approved by the conference, Academician Zhu Yingfu served as the chairman of the first board of directors of the Institute of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering Alumni Association. Recommended by the majority of alumni, Academician Huang Xuhua, Academician Sun Jun, and Academician Wang Liheng serve as honorary presidents.

Zhang Ansheng, the vice president of Shanghai Jiaotong University, issued the letter of appointment for the first board of directors and awarded the flag to the executive chairman Zhang Wei.

Academician Huang Xuhua and Academician Wang Liheng sent video blessings for the establishment of the Institute of OCE Alumni Association, and Academician Sun Jun wrote a letter to congratulate the establishment of the Alumni Association.

Academician Lin Zhongqin, the president of Shanghai Jiaotong University and alumni of the Institute of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering in 1982, who studied in Beijing, recorded a blessing video for the conference in advance.

Representatives of the Hubei Alumni Association Branch and overseas alumni respectively sent congratulations to the OCE Alumni Association.

Song Xuming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of NAOCE, presided over the "New Style, New Journey" report and the establishment of the Education Development Fund of NAOCE.

Liao Shijun, Dean of the School of NAOCE, introduced the development of the college, and together with alumni from OCE at home and abroad, unveiled the newly completed series of landscapes such as the institute's name stone, experimental building, alumni home, and institute history museum.

On the occasion of the establishment of the Alumni Association, Zhang Ansheng, Ye Quyuan, Huang Jinzhi, Mao Weiwei, Yu Yang, Zhang Wei, Du Songning, Liao Shijun and the 91st alumni representatives of Shipbuilding, Civil Engineering and Mechanics jointly launched the Education Development Fund of the School of Shipbuilding and Engineering

As one of the series of events for the establishment of the Alumni Association of NAOCE, nearly 300 alumni from across the country gathered for the "Story of Time" concert.

On this special day, all the leaders of the department and academic representatives prepared a gift for the alumni association to recite the poem "Long Live Youth".

Upon the establishment of the alumni association, OCE established an alumni football team to deeply integrate the spirit of sports competition with the spirit of shipbuilding.
