  • Biography

    Dr. Shijun Liao, "Chunshen" Chair Professor (2015-), Dean (2019.6-), Director of "State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering" (2019.9-), "Chunshen" Chair Professor (2015-), School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Ministry of Education "Yangtze River Award" "Plan Distinguished Professor" (2001-), winner of "National Outstanding Youth Fund" (2001), "Shanghai Leading Talent" (2011). Won the "Shanghai 7th Natural Science Peony Award" (2009), "Shanghai Natural Science First Prize" (2009), National Natural Science Second Prize (2016, the only person to complete), the 15th "Shanghai City Science and Technology Elite" (2017). Originally proposed the "homotopic analysis method" for solving the analytical approximate solutions of strong nonlinear problems, and is the founder of this method. Proposed a new numerical calculation strategy CNS (Clean Numerical Simulation) for solving chaotic dynamic systems, and cooperated with others to obtain more than 2,000 brand new periodic solutions for the famous three-body problem, increasing the number of periodic solutions for the three-body problem by several Order of magnitude, an effective strategy and roadmap are proposed for solving the periodic solution of the three-body problem. He has written 2 English monographs and published more than 170 SCI papers. The monographs and papers have been cited by him 10292 times (as of November 2020), and the H-index is 45. For three consecutive years (2014-2016), he has been selected as Highly-Cited Researchers and all previous Elsevier Chinese Most Cited Researchers.
